Our client wanted to get young people (and their parents/carers) excited by the new Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) programme, its social media channels, and forthcoming online mentoring. They also wanted to show employers how they can help young people into the workplace, and how this will ultimately benefit business and the economy.
The event was aimed at young people ages 14-19, parents/carers, and employers. Old Trafford was intentionally chosen for its ‘wow factor’ for this audience.
An experiential environment encouraged people to explore IAG; interact with its Facebook, YouTube and blogs; and sample the aspirational ‘Theatre of Dreams’ first hand. Feedback was encouraged throughout; culminating in an open floor ‘Question Time’, hosted by the Secretary of State Ed Balls with, amongst others, Sir Alex Ferguson (who was an apprentice himself).
