Aims & Objectives:
When young people use the internet to communicate, often they will ‘lower their guard’ because they feel ‘safe’. This film puts the audience in the mindset of a paedophile so they can recognise the warning signs and learn practical tips on how to avoid harm. The paedophile featured is deliberately non-stereotypical.
Intended Audience:
The film was launched on Safe Internet Day and shown to 11-16 year olds in Secondary schools throughout the UK. It is now available on www.thinkuknow.co.uk and http://www.teachertube.com. The film was designed to be ‘stand alone’ without the need for teacher support to deliver it.
